We are Very Very Proud to be a genuinely Local Norfolk Business Trading for well over 10 years amidst the many franchises industrially harvesting Norfolks lofts.
If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing Locally.
We never forget the fact that we are in your Home. It's always a privilege to be there. Our obsession is to achieve the highest standards on your behalf. Because we don't just want to meet your expectations, we want to exceed them!
Raised Loft Boarding is costly. There's no two ways about it. We professionally install specialist Raised Loft Boarding to NHBC & BBA standards. No shortcuts, no gimmicks. Our prices are well in line with those advocated by trusted consumer sites such as Checkatrade.
We only use timber, just like the rest of your loft has been constructed. We source the very best quality structurally engineered timber I-beam joists and other materials to meticulously & professionally install bespoke Raised Loft Boarding to the highest possible NHBC & BBA standards.
The disingenuous practice of retrospectively price matching hints at much broader dubious operating standards.
We can be beaten on price, but never on Quality!
Plenty insulation keeps your house plenty warm. Squashing your insulation with direct loft boarding to joists or dumping your belongings on it, will negate its effectiveness. No squashing!
Raising loft boards on DIY uni leg stilt supports is a BIG no no.
Stilt supports require a rock solid foundation, not a flexible ceiling joist.
Because loft leg supports compress and critically Point Load timber ceiling joists.
Span demands that load is Deflected outwards, not Vertically.
An Engineering Fundamental.
There's no prizes for overloading your loft with half a tonne (500kg) of weight per square metre. That's absurd.
Loft ceiling joists are nowhere near as strong as internal floor/ceiling joists; which are engineered to be significantly more robust.
Spread the weight, spread the love.
Loft Ceiling Joists need Structural I-Joist Support to Accommodate Dynamic Loading.
Mould is a simple plant; if you want to kill it, stop watering it.
If mould has already formed, painting over it will not solve the problem. Ventilation is mould’s biggest enemy as it removes the root cause: the moisture in the air. Where mould is present in bedrooms or other livings rooms PIV will provide the answer.
Positive Input Ventilation (PIV) is an energy efficient method of pushing out and replacing stale unhealthy air with clean drier air, by gently introducing filtered air into the home and increasing the circulation of air around the property. By removing the moisture and other pollutants from the air, mould cannot grow which removes the problem at source.
Condensation and mould are controlled as moisture laden air is replaced by drier air. This protects the property from harmful condensation and mould.
Inbound air is filtered improving the indoor air quality. The optional F7 filter will remove almost all pollen from the air and help reduce diesel particulates.
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), dust mites and other indoor air pollutants are reduced, giving your residents a healthier indoor environment.
The introduction of the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018 means that landlords now have an increasing responsibility for the conditions in which their residents live. Occurrences of damp and mould are specifically called up in the bill as being conditions unsuitable for human habitation, with the onus on the landlord to rectify the issue.
PIV units can provide a whole house solution to indoor air pollutants and make a home habitable again.
